Annuity Marketing Really About Earning the Trust of Annuity Prospects

By Bruce Darber

Don't sell annuities like their used cars. People aren't asking you for a sales pitch when they ask for your professional advice. They want answers that are straight and sound. They need information they can trust.

More than just a sales pitch, annuity marketing is educational in its purest sense. While you're selling a product that depends on building annuity prospects, if you aren't up front, you'll never learn your clients' important trust.

Economies are shifting these days, and people have every right to be scared. They should understand, however, that annuity marketing is a far safer investment than the stock market when it comes to financing. Many annuity prospects seek security after watching their stock market savings evaporate with the economic collapse.

Let your clients realize they have the option to later sell the annuities as well. Annuities can be sold as well as bought, whether your clients need the money immediately for a financial emergency or just realize they don't need as much annuity as they thought.

While there are many ways to build annuities, ultimately you are building a relationship with your clients. Annuities promise a secure future for your clients. It's a relationship that needs to sustain into the future.

Trust grows with relationships, and honesty is always the best policy. Clients should be considered like family and friends. Keep their best interests in mind when marketing annuities.

Sales talk that doesn't spell it right out is transparent and obvious. Ultimately, it can destroy your business. Trust builds overtime, but it can quickly be lost.

Be honest and educational about the realities and benefits of the annuities market. As you build the trust of your clients, they'll recommend you to family and friends, build up your portfolio over time. - 23167

How Should Investors Diversify?

By Michael Swanson

Probably everyone can identify with the old proverb "don't put all your eggs in one basket". We all know is makes sense not to encourage such risk. The same thoughts can be applied to our investment portfolios - no one likes to think they will lose money. We are told to diversify our risk, but is investor diversification the best plan for everyone?

Where we are at any point in our investment life cycle will have a huge bearing on our tolerance for risk. Some people are naturally risky, others much more cautious. For those starting out in their working careers the money they invest is very limited and they don't want to lose any of it. For those in the wealth accumulation years they tend to be much more risk tolerant. For them there is a bigger base so a small loss isn't as important and they have years to recoup any losses. For those at the end of their working lives or in retirement, the risk profile is probably much lower. All these factors mean that as individuals, our attitude to diversification will be different.

Diversification, by its very nature, means that while our risks are minimized our exposure to profits can also be minimized. The money we have tied up in fixed interest is not available to take advantage of a red hot stock picks or a booming property market.

Another problem for the small investor is the smaller pool of funds he has to play with. It would be great to have a portfolio of property, a wide range of stocks and bonds, bank deposits and investment art. But to buy into all of these areas the small investor risks having such tiny investments in each that it isn't worth the effort.

There definitely examples out there of people who have specialized and reaped the benefits of that specialization; Henry ford and Bill Gates are two examples. But such successes there are numerous others who have been burned by one big bad investment wiping their portfolio.

Investor diversification is different for every investor - just make sure you know what your options are. - 23167

Risk Free Investments

By Henry Kendall

The current economic situation has forced many people more into debt, however, while others are going into debt, there are many people out there looking for good investment options. If you have extra money, it does not make sense to let it sit in a savings account; however, many of the investment options out there are also risky. For this reason, there are many individuals who seem skeptical about where to put their money. The good news is there are options for investment that are available today and at the same time are risk free.

When we talk about a good investment that does not necessarily mean it is going to be risk free, however all risk free investments are relatively good investments on some level because you do not incur a risk of monetary loss with the investment. When you are looking into to various securities, anything that has the potential to cause you to lose money cannot be classified as risk free. However, securities that are free of this risk are often more popular and usually found in government bonds, treasury bills, and certificates of deposits (CD).

The wise investor will most likely consider a risk free investment not only to minimize risk, but also to save smarter when it comes to the future. One of the difficulties with investment securities is that they are not very liquid. Unlike your regular checking or savings account, you might not have access to the money in your securities or even a surety that it will be there in the future. However, with risk free investments, you can rely on the fact that the money you have invested today will at least be there tomorrow, and this is a nice comfort for many investors today.

If you are looking for a long-term risk free investment, try investing in government savings bonds. Savings bonds are a perfect long-term option for your investment, because you are investing your money with the government - an entity you can count on to be here in 20 years. Sometimes, savings bonds do not offer the highest return on investment, however there is basically no risk at all when you invest in a bond. Therefore, when you are deciding what to invest in, a savings bond is not a bad choice.

Treasury bills (commonly called T-Bills) are another form of investment that is relatively risk free and popular in today's economy. T-Bills function very similarly to bonds, except they have a different time period. While your bond investment may take years to mature, your investment in a T-Bill will mature in one year or less; thus, it is a great risk free investment for the short run investment. Also, when it comes to T-Bills, your money is guaranteed at the maturity date, so you can expect some sort of return on your investment.

Certificates of Deposits (also called CDs) are a great risk free investment for those who are interested in investing their money over a few years time period. The time period usually ranges from anywhere between one quarter and five years, and once the CD has matured, you receive the principle plus the interest. The only downside to the CD is that sometimes they do not offer the same sort of tax breaks that other investments offer; however, they are definitely sound, sure, and risk free investments.

When you are trying to determine what to invest your money in, you will come across a variety of different options, and you will realize that not all investment opportunities are created equal. For this reason, many people seek the advice of a financial advisor to help best advise them on what decisions should be made for their investment portfolio. Whether you work with a financial advisor or not, the one thing to remember is to be cautious and ere on the side of conservative when it comes to your investments.

In the investment industry, a higher rate of return usually involves more risk, and therefore it is important to be cautious. Many people do reap the rewards of the higher return, yet there are others who end up losing money - that is the risk. And, for this reason that is why caution is important, especially in real estate and stock market investments. Don't Lose Money On Your Investments

Because of this, try to stick with investments that are risk free. Check out savings bonds, T-Bills, and CDs for your investments. You will be happy you did. - 23167

A New Twist On An Old Trading Strategy

By Roger McBridge

Most investors on Wall St. know about trend following. It's a method that's been around for a while. I always thought it was too much trouble, and too much trouble and I didn't want to invest the money in the software or the time in learning to use the software. Lately though, my investments hadn't been doing as well as I wanted so I started looking around for new ways to invest.

If you're willing to try something different, something that can increase your yields while protecting your capital, I have something for you. It's the ETFTradingSignals.com newsletter. I know, you may already have tried trend following and not had the success you had hoped for, but this program is totally different.

ETFTradingSignals.com only deals with EFTs. EFTs are one of the safest investments on the market. Yes, EFTs are usually long term investments, and with this system you may keep an EFT for four to six months. No watching the market like a hawk, and agonizing over the latest indicators. A low risk investment that can still offer a high yield if you follow the signals.

With EFTs they claimed, you only had to make ten or twelve trades a year to show a good profit on your trades. I was a little skeptical, but they offered a money back guarantee, so I decided to check it out.

I found out about ETFTradingSignals.com a few months ago. It didn't really fit my market strategy, but I was losing money steadily with high risk, short term investments. I thought maybe it was time for a change and I subscribed to their newsletter. Since they offer a sixty day money back guarantee, I didn't put my money into any of their picks, I just did a test with paper trades. After two months I wished I had gone ahead and invested. Their picks were were making money, which is more than I can say for mine.

I continued my membership and began playing with real money instead of imaginary money and I am very impressed. I've steadily been making money. Not all of their picks were winners, but I didn't lose much on the ones that went south, because their emails alerted me to exit in time to prevent any major loss.

I feel more comfortable about my investments now. I'm not constantly watching the market and worrying about every fluctuation. I let Trend Following Signals do the work and I just make the trades I want when I get an alert, or if I see something I like in their newsletter.

If you are looking to turn your investments around, try ETFTradingSignals.com. Hey, if you're not happy, they give you back your money. You can't ask for fairer than that. You've got nothing to lose here, so give it a try, you may be surprised at what you gain. - 23167

Finding the Best Value For Your Property Investment

By Lindamare Gomez

If you are trying to sell your home, you might have a difficult time getting a great price for it unless it is in tip-top condition. Buyers these days want the home they purchase to be picture perfect and ready for occupancy immediately. Unless you have painted the entire home inside and out, replaced aging electrical appliances, and footed the bill for a new roof, you may not get your asking price.

It can be difficult to get potential buyers to see what a gem your home is unless it looks absolutely perfect. They cant see and dont care how great the living room would look with a different colored carpet. They arent interested in how much safer the yard would be for their kids if it was surrounded by a chain-link fence. They are bringing their hard-earned money to the table and expect to get something thats already suited to their wants and needs.

Before putting your home on the market, you must correct every flaw if you expect to get top dollar for it. Paint the inside and outside, replace the roof if its worn, re-carpet where necessary, and enhance every little detail. Look at your home through a potential buyers eyes to determine what things they would like to see in place. You should expect to spend some money getting your home in order before you sell it.

Some people just dont have the time or money required to prepare their houses for the real estate market. They may be forced to move unexpectedly due to a job transfer or they may be in financial trouble, which pretty much prevents them from investing any more money into their homes.

If you are in any of the above circumstances, then you need to consider selling your home to a private real estate investor or real estate investment firm. If you can get one of them interested in purchasing your home, you will be able to move right away without having to make any further mortgage payments. Of course, you might not get top dollar for it but you wont get it anyway unless you are willing to pay the price ahead of time by repainting, re-carpeting, re-roofing, and fixing anything that needs repair.

Real estate investors can see beyond the normal wear and tear your home has undergone. They will not expect you to sink thousands of dollars into the home so that it will look perfect. They will buy your home the way it is and do all the work before putting it out there on the real estate market.

Selling to a real estate investor will be your best option if you need to sell your home as quickly as possible. He or she will buy it outright and you will not have to make any special arrangements, make any more payments, correct any of the problems it has, or pay anyone a commission. All you must do is find an interested investor and your problems will be solved. - 23167
